Applications are now open for the KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2026, a prestigious fully funded scholarship sponsored by the Government of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is designed to support outstanding international students from developing countries who wish to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree programs in Indonesia for the 2026–2027 academic year. The scholarship is offered at 31 participating Indonesian universities, providing students with access to high-quality education in a culturally rich and diverse environment.
The KNB Scholarship offers a unique opportunity to study at some of Indonesia’s most reputable institutions while experiencing one of the world’s most dynamic and multicultural societies. To date, the program has supported 1,830 students from 99 countries, reflecting its strong global reputation and impact.
For the 2026 intake, the Indonesian Government will award 222 scholarships, distributed as follows:
- 30 Bachelor’s students
- 162 Master’s students
- 30 Doctoral students
This fully funded scholarship covers a wide range of financial benefits, significantly reducing the cost of studying abroad. Beyond financial support, the KNB Scholarship promotes academic excellence, professional development, and cross-cultural understanding. Recipients gain firsthand exposure to Indonesia’s linguistic diversity, cultural heritage, and noble values—preparing them for long-term success after graduation.
The duration of the scholarship is:
- Bachelor’s degree: up to 48 months
- Master’s degree: up to 24 months
- Doctoral degree: up to 48 months
